Resolve the source before the finish
A repaired surface can be damaged again if water is still escaping. Investigation and plumbing repair address the source; appropriate follow-up checks help assess the affected system. Keep the findings and photographs for anyone completing subsequent work.
Drying and restoration are separate stages
Wet materials may need assessment and drying before finishes are replaced. Building drying, mould remediation and structural concerns require appropriate advice. Do not assume that completing a pipe repair makes all affected surfaces ready for decoration.
Know the package boundary
Flow Tracker’s £1,350 residential package includes required access, plumbing repair, parts, testing and reporting. Tiling, flooring, plastering, painting, cabinetry, external finishes and other reinstatement are excluded. Arrange these separately as needed.
Coordinate the records
If an insurer or managing agent is involved, ask what documentation it requires and whether approval is needed. The leak report helps explain the plumbing findings but does not guarantee insurance cover for any stage.
What to tell us when you enquire
If another company has traced the leak, share its report. Make sure the person authorising the work understands any access needed and has permission for shared or neighbouring areas.
