Notice when the water appears
A leak that follows a bath, basin or shower being emptied may involve a waste route. A continuous supply leak behaves differently. Timing is useful information, but tests and accessible inspection are still needed before identifying a fault.
Describe the accessible plumbing
Tell us which fitting is used before the damage appears and whether an existing access panel is available. A camera may help inspect suitable voids. Access permission matters when the water reaches another property.
Some drainage work needs a separate specialist
An underground drain survey, CCTV drainage inspection, drain clearance or sewer repair is not automatically included in Flow Tracker’s plumbing package. The job scope should be confirmed before attendance, and a dedicated drainage contractor may be appropriate.
Give the next contractor useful findings
Keep records of the symptoms and any previous investigation. This helps avoid repeating tests and allows a relevant specialist to understand the suspected route, affected spaces and access restrictions.
What to tell us when you enquire
Arrange authorised access above the damage where possible. Keep people clear of a bulging or damaged ceiling and do not open it yourself just to help the investigation.
